Dear Parents/Guardians of Grade 12 Learners,

Learners are prohibited from removing SIM cards from the departmental tablets and routers and insert them into personal devices such as cellphones or routers.

The SIM cards and tables are linked to the Department's monitoring portal, which displays the personal information (name, physical address, etc.) of the owner of the device the SIM is inserted into. So this misuse is traceable.

Should you be found doing what you were told not to do, necessary action will be taken against you (irregardless of you being a learner, community member, vendor, etc.). The DBE, SAPS and Districts are on your tail.

Regards,
ICT Committee
